American currency is accepted and English is spoken by most merchants. Visitors may purchase up to $800.00 of merchandise duty free and one liter of alcohol per person.

Effective June 1st, all U.S. citizens ages 16 and older will be required to present a passport for re-entry into the U.S. from Mexico. Travelers ages 15 and younger will be required to present a copy of a birth certificate along with a government issued photo id.
Non-U.S. Citizens: Either a Passport, I-94, Multiple Entry Visa or Resident Alien Card is required for re-entry to the United States.
Visitors may purchase up to $800 in merchandise duty free and 1 litre of alcohol per person 21 years of age.
