Coach America companies have always and continue to maintain the highest possible US DOT Safety Rating. Maintaining this rating requires a strong dedication to driver training, maintenance, and record keeping. DOT Safety Audits are performed without notice and at random.

Highest US Military Traffic Command Safety Rating
The US Military Traffic Command conducts their own safety audit program for carriers approved to transport our troops. These inspections are generally completed once a year, and are similar to a US DOT Inspection. We have consistently maintained a rating of 1, the highest rating available, from the US Military Traffic Command.
Completely Insured
We carry liability insurance coverage on every vehicle in our fleet that exceeds all state and national requirements set by the US DOT ... and we are happy to provide a certificate of insurance to prove it!

Coach America companies maintains written policy manuals to help maintain our safety record and your safety. These manuals deal with company policy, our drug and alcohol programs, driver training programs, hiring practices and more!
Compliance with Federal Hours of Service Regulations
At Coach America, we take the law and your safety seriously. We work diligently to make sure our vehicles and drivers operate within the legal limits prescribed by law. We ask your cooperation in keeping your group safe by not pressuring your driver to extend your travel day beyond what is safe and legal. Be assured if we can safely and legally accommodate you, we will.
Other
Coach America has standards higher than required by FMCSA for driver medical requirements. Regulations require driver DOT physical exams every two years, but at Coach America, we require a DOT physical every year to be Safety qualified. In addition, all safety management personnel at Coach America are required to become NATMI (North American Transportation Management Institute) certified. All drivers receive extensive safety training and annual safety training over and above any agency requirement.
We also ensure that our motorcoaches and vehicles are inspected daily to insure safe operation and that they meet federal and state regulations.
